While postgraduate education in the field of Science in our university was carried out by Post-Diploma College between 1969 and 1982, Ankara University Graduate School of National and Applied Sciences was established on July 20, 1982 under the Higher Education Law No. 2547.  In 1982, our Institute started its educational activities with 17 departments in two faculties, namely Faculties of Agriculture and Science. Nowadays, at the 28 departments of Agricultural, Science and Engineering faculties  postgraduate programs are carried out  with 24 graduate Master’s, 25 Master’s and 18 Doctoral degree programs, 2nd cycle education in Real Estate Development and Management and Distance Education Informatics Departments.

The main aim of the Ankara University Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences; In parallel with the goal of our university being a research university, is promote the researches more actively, to increase research resources, increase number of graduate students, support interdisciplinary researches, educate the academics for newly established universities, attract more international students to our postgraduate programs.

The primary tasks of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences are internationalization, scientific quality, scientific ethics and, coming true the national and universal priority thesis and their transformation into scientific publications.
